This is my newly discovered equation for "zen" during finals week:

  1. Say breath prayers. When inhaling, say part of a comforting Bible verse.  When exhaling, say the other part.
  2. Eat Sundried Tomato & Basil Wheat Thins.
  3. Read zen poetry from a Buddhist monk.
  4. Say prayers using your hands. When your palms are raised up, give all the things you cannot control to God. When your palms are faced down, ask for strength for the things that you cannot perform by yourself.
  5. Drink Oolong tea in Japanese tea cups.
  6. Lay on a couch with a blanket and just breathe.
  7. Watch people drink pink drinks.
  8. Bare feet.
  9. Listen to City and Colour, Regina Spektor, and Corinne Bailey Rae.
  10. Take long, very warm showers.

I hope you all survive the rest of finals week!
