Breathing + prayer

Have you ever been in a tough spot & just needed some calming words or thoughts?
I learned a spiritual exercise a few years ago that I really enjoy: breathe in a word or part of a Bible verse and breathe out the same word or other part of the verse.

It really helps with focusing, anxiety, & meditation.

Usually, I use the word "peace" or the phrase "God is good." With just a few breaths, I am relaxed with a mind focused on Him.

I also love using Psalm 23. Every line of it helps me realize that God is in control and I truly lack nothing.

Try the breathing exercise sometime this weekend with this verse. Maybe do this exercise outside with fresh air or in a very quiet room. I hope that this different approach helps you!

And just remember, you lack nothing.
